The Pilot Brewhouse
A brand identity for a brewpub with a story worth sharing
Lauren and Andrew, returning clients and owners of Lockport Brewery, needed a brand for their new brewpub in New Philadelphia, Ohio, one that could carry the weight of a strong local identity and translate across merchandise to quickly build a following.
The result is a vintage industrial aesthetic with a clean, modern edge that feels rooted in the community. Being located beside Harry Clever Field, the airstrip where astronaut John Glenn learned to fly, became the anchor for the visual identity, giving the brand a genuine story to tell. Earthy greens and sky blues round out a palette that feels approachable and grounded. The hero element is a custom plane illustration built with movement and energy, and the Ohio state flag's circle motif worked into the propeller as a nod to local pride.
Multiple logo lockups give the brand the flexibility it needs across applications, setting The Pilot Brewhouse up with a versatile system ready to move merchandise from day one.
